The puppies turn 7 weeks old today. This week we separated the puppies from their mom after the super cold spell came through our area. Today we gave the puppies their first puppy vaccination and another dose of wormer. All puppies are doing so very well and have so much energy. The newfies turn 5 weeks old and grew a lot this week. We started them on mush (milk replacer and puppy food) and they all love to eat. They are really starting to get personalities and love to be held and played with by us. This week the puppies really added some weight and bulk. They really like to eat food and still suck a little from mom but has become less and less as they get older. Puppies were able to experience snow for the first time and really took to it well. Its amazing how hardy the little pups are at 6 weeks old and how they enjoy being outside with mom. We were going to separate them today but with this cold snap that came down we might leave mom with them until it warms up so
